Our Story...

Founded in 1872 at Syracuse University in New York, Alpha Phi International Fraternity is an organization dedicated to promoting sisterhood, cultivating leadership, encouraging intellectual curiosity and advocating service. Alpha Phi currently has 159 collegiate chapters, 150 alumnae chapters, and over 200,000 initiated members. It is the fourth oldest national women's sorority.

The Lambda Chapter at UC Berkeley was established in the early 1900's, and we strive to keep the Alpha Phi tradition alive not only through our own pursuit of friendships within Alpha Phi, but also through efforts to give back to our Cal community!
